I have noticed that many Mac users do not know how to take a screenshoot by a simple keyboard trick, which then makes them use some third party “screenshot taking apps” and that ofcourse makes things even more inconvenient.
For those of you that did not know, yes its possible to take a screenshot by clicking a combination of 3 keyboard buttons at the same time. And yes, its same, regardless of the fact if you’re using OSX Lion, all the way up to MacOS Sierra. Its the same for all Macbook Air, Macbook Pro, iMac, Mac Pro and so on too.
How to take a screenshot on MacOs Sierra?
- First things first, find the website, article, or anything you’d like to get a screenshot off ( in this case I will take a screenshot of my desktop )
- Press Command(cmd) + Shift + 3
- You will hear a “camera shutter” sound ( make sure your volume is Up )
- Screenshot will be saved to your desktop by default
